Weather
With prevailing southwesterly winds, bringing clean air and the warming currents of the Gulf Stream off the Atlantic Ocean, Ireland is fairly temperate throughout the year. It has been described as having little climate but much weather. There is rain (why else would Ireland be green?) but it is unlikely to last more than a day. You are most likely to experience alternating sunshine and showers.

This ancient land is something of an enigma; a place of myth and legend as much as a modern progressive nation. It is easy to wax lyrical about the beauty of the countryside and about the great musical and literary traditions, where as, in reality, Ireland has recently had the fastest growing economy in the European Union - it has  become known as the 'Celtic Tiger.'

The contrasts continue; from the bustle of a crowded Dublin street to the calm of a country pub with the sound of "The Craic," bodrum and fiddle flowing out into the street, like the velvet -creamy Guinness flowing into a pint glass.

You can enjoy some of the scenic splendours of Ireland's Wicklow Mountains and the legendary Irish hospitality on a Sherpa inn to inn walk on the Wicklow Way starting from the small village of Clonegal and heading for the outskirts of Dublin. Discovering the beauty of the national park, Lough Tay, and Enniskerry along the 130km route through wild but tranquil scenery.
