Cyprus
is an island of outstanding natural beauty. Away from the cosmopolitan
towns and beach resorts you will find large areas of natural, unspoilt
countryside. Rugged, pine-clad mountains, woodland and gentle orchards and
vineyards are interspersed with tranquil, timeless villages.
This programme concentrates on the western part of Cyprus,
specifically the Akamas Peninsula, where the weather will remain
warmer than in the mountains. The tour starts at Drouseia
where you stay for 2 nights. You then walk onto Chrysochou Bay (2
nights) and can follow the same walks as mentioned in the Akamas
extension. From here you head back inland to Kato Akourdaleia
(2 nights), before walking down to Agios Georgios tis Pegeias
via the Avagas Gorge on the west coast where you spend your last
night.

nights/8 days - Your 1st and 2nd night are spent in Drouseia
we stay in hotel apartments offering comfortable accommodation. There are shops and tavernas in the
village. Night 3 & 4 : Chrysochou Bay, Akamas Peninsula. The
hotel has 40 en-suite rooms. The modern looking hotel is set in a
fine position, just above a nice beach and with good views. 1.5km/1
mile away are the 'Baths of Aphrodite' where the lovely goddess is
said to have bathed in a rock pool. 4km/2.5 miles away Lachi harbour
where all facilities are available. A further 2 km from here and you
reach Polis a small town, but the area's largest! Night 5 & 6 is in Kato Akourdaleia. In the centre of
this tiny village, set among orange groves, you stay in a
traditional old building now converted into an attractive,
family-run inn with 7 en-suite rooms. On occasion rooms in the
nearby villa and in the village are used. Agios Georgios tis Pegeias where you stay for your last
night is a small, family-run 1 star hotel with rather basic, 9
en-suite rooms about 400 metres from the small fishing harbour and
beach. The surrounding area is mainly agricultural, growing bananas
and citrus. Nearby are the ruins of an early Christian basilica.

and Meals Dinner, bed and breakfast in small hotels, village inns &
country guesthouses. All rooms ensuite. In one village meals are
taken at local tavernas.
Arrival Transfer is provided from airport to first hotel.
End
of Tour Transfer is provided from your last hotel to Larnaca airport at
a supplement of E81 for up to 4 people. Alternatively fly to Paphos.
