In the Ionian sea off the west coast of Greece and beyond the southern tip of the Peloponnese lie the idyllic Ionian Islands, the perfect setting for a cruising and cycling adventure. Travelling from Corfu, this journey leads you to some of the less visited regions in Greece. Discover the famous island of Ithaca, said to have been the home of Odysseus, the unforgettable green bird sanctuary island of Lefkas, mountainous Cephalonia, and the beautiful olive woods of the small island of Paxos. Cruising from island to island, we'll spend plenty of time ashore exploring fishing villages and historic sites by bike or just relaxing and enjoying the authentic Greek hospitality.

Individual journey to Corfu airport and make your way to Corfu town where you will find our boat in the main harbour. Check-in from 2:00pm on the boat. Dinner on board.
Overnight in Corfu.
After breakfast our guide will take us on an exciting walk through the UNESCO world-heritage listed old town of Corfu. Afterwards we return to our boat and cross over to Parga on the west coast of the Greek mainland. The town is beautifully located below a Venetian fortification complex built in 1570 that we will climb on our afternoon walk. Round off the day with a stroll through the lively alleys of Parga's old town as well as a swim at the nearby sandy beach.
After a fairly long cruise we reach the narrow channel - spanned by a quaint swing bridge - that separates the Island of Lefkas from the mainland. Before landing in Nidri in the early afternoon, we make a swim stop off Skorpios, the private island that was formerly owned by the family of the shipping magnate Aristoteles Onassis. From Nidri we cycle along small asphalt roads to a waterfall. With some luck, it still carries enough water for a refreshing dip. We spend the evening and night in Nidri.
In the morning the boat brings us to the pretty port of Vasiliki, where take a cycle tour through the coastal plains. After lunch on board we make a stop for swimming at Porto Katsiki, one of the best-known beaches in Greece, lying directly below the Lefkadian Rock. We continue by boat to Fiskardo on the island of Cephalonia. The harbour town on the northern tip of the island charms us with its colourful houses and many cafes and bars along the picturesque harbour promenade. A short walk in the early evening takes us to a pretty lighthouse. You should definitely treat yourself to a drop of the lively local Robola wine! Overnight in Fiskardo.
After a short crossing by boat we reach the harbour of Agia Efimia, featured in the Hollywood blockbuster "Captain Corelli's Mandolin". Here we begin our cycle tour along the coastline to the enchanting Melissani Cave, accessible only by row boats. We continue to the Drogerati cave before cycling past a donkey farm on your way to Sami. We meet the ship and anchor down for a swim stop, then continue to Meganisi where we overnight, a tiny island with lots of charm.
After breakfast you have the chance to explore Meganisi Island by bike. Later, a fairly long crossing will bring us to Paxos. On the way we have the chance for a swim stop at Antipaxos. Paxos, the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands, is a grove of olive trees which gives the island its beautiful silver green colour. Gaios, the unique natural harbour, creates a special island atmosphere. In the afternoon you can explore the harbour on foot or you may cycle to a nearby beach. We can spend the evening in a cosy tavern in Gaios.
Today we visit the olive-press museum at Magazia - for centuries, the cultivation of olive trees was the island's economic backbone. On today's challenging cycle we will discover the island of Paxos. Later today we will board the boat for our last crossing back to Corfu town, where you will have dinner on board. After dinner we can round off our journey in the atmospheric old town.
Disembark after breakfast on board around 9am and individual departure.
