medieval settlements, set out to wander at a relaxed pace across roll

hills with forests of beech and oak. Beaune is the hub of Burgundy's w

industry and is the obvious place to start this trip. During the week the

is time to visit the sights in Beaune, including the Hotel Dieu, and sam

wines en route. You will walk through vineyards and charming villages w

narrow streets and half‑timbered houses. In the second half of the walk y

will climb onto escarpments with stunning hilltop views as far as the Al
ps.
